Mike Snook
Born in Denmark (which explains his passion for all things Scandinavian/Nordic) with a Danish mum and British Soldier for a dad, he spent his childhood living in Denmark, Singapore, Germany and the UK.

His entry into the world of rock was through Status Quo and ELO and listening to Tommy Vance on BFBS Radio in the late 70's. His first album was If You Can't Stand The Heat. He then grew up in the world of NWOBHM loving Iron Maiden, Saxon, Judas Priest, Rainbow, Dio etc First year of gigs as a 15/16 year old were Status Quo, Motorhead, Rainbow (with Def Leppard in support, there's a story about that one) Mike's dad was passionate about music and this has definitely been passed on, he has to have music in his life and his passion is to share that love with others Mike has had an ambition to be a radio presenter for quite some time, auditioning for KMFM in the 00's. Then through a chance meeting at a gig was invited to present a rock show on a local internet radio show in Plymouth and The Phoenix Rock Show was born in January 2019, fast forward a few years and he now presents four shows across the week of which the latest is here on RockRadioUK every Saturday Morning. He loves to present live and keep the shows interactive to make them as natural as possible. Mike also comperes events such as Rockin By The River, Metal 2 The Masses, Dementia Aware Bristol and Station 18 Festival, he is also the man behind the tunes between the bands at The Stonedead Festival in August.
