Graham Lavender
I have always had a passion for music.
The first 45 I bought was “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones to play on my Dansette. In the 70s I moved on to the likes of Mott The Hoople, Bad Company and Boston thereby cementing my love of rock.
Mobile DJing in the 70s and 80s expanded my taste for different types of music and, most fortunately, my beautiful wife Frances A.K.A. "My Producer" shares my love for different genres. The live acts that we have seen most are Judas Priest, Asia, Journey, Paul Carrack and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Our radio story began with presenting pop music shows on a local radio station. Our Monday evening rock show ran for over 6 years before upgrading to Rock Radio UK with Frances helping me to choose the pick of new music for our listeners.
On our "Rockin' The Decades" Show we play a mix of rock, metal, A.O.R. and blues from the dawn of "classic rock" in the 60s to date and, on occasions, we have the honour to chat to artists and bring those conversations to our show. The show airs from 8 pm UK time on Mondays with a second chance to listen on Wednesdays at 4 am.
We also have "At The Hop", the show full of Rock & Roll from the 50s to date on Wednesdays from 11 am UK time which is an hour of tunes designed to stir your memories and bring a smile to your face.
Finally, on Mondays at 9 am we have “Smooth Rock”, the show designed to help in getting your week underway as free of stress as possible.
We love being a part of the team at Rock Radio UK, the best and fastest growing independent rock station on your airwaves and hope that you will keep us company every week.

With the ever increasing security required to keep people safe, we at Rock Radio UK decided to move our chat forum to a more trusted site.
